Welcome

Hello, I am Alexandra Bush and I would like to give you a warm welcome to my counselling and psychotherapy practice.

Counselling offers you the space to talk about the issues that you are facing so that you can come to a solution that is right for you. This can have a positive affect on you and the relationships that matter in your life.

Counselling with me means you will not have to work it out on your own. I will listen to you and offer you my help and expertise.

I have always loved connecting with people. I didn’t understand the power of being connected, until I experienced being truly heard and responded to with compassion, understanding and support. The work I do with clients is about hearing them and taking the time to truly understand who they are and who they want to be. Through counselling I help them understand that they can reach whatever it is they are trying to achieve and support them on their journey to succeed.

This is because I believe everyone matters and deserves to succeed. I believe we are not defined by our past or our now, instead we should be defined by who we are. Regardless of our beginning, we can all positively influence the direction of our life.

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist experienced in helping clients with a range of problems, with a particular expertise in couple relationships. I work with individuals and couples at my therapy practice set in a private rural location near Stowmarket, Suffolk.

I work on a short term and longer term basis which can be determined during our first meeting together. This initial consultation is advisable so we can agree how our work can proceed.

Your appointment, set in my private studio, will give you a comfortable and confidential space to talk openly. You can explore ways of resolving any issues that are concerning you.  We will focus on what you would like to achieve and together we will work at a pace that is beneficial to you.

I am registered with and adhere to the ethical practice code of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and have been practising since 2009.

It can help you improve your relationships, emotional well-being and personal confidence. This can lessen the effect of anxiety, stress, depression or other symptoms you might be experiencing.

Individual counselling

ONE TO ONE

At your sessions you will experience a safe, confidential and caring environment to talk about yourself and any issues that are causing you distress. Working one to one helps you understand those concerns privately, away from your daily responsibilities. This can have a positive effect on you and the relationships that matter in your life.

Couple counselling

DESIGNED FOR TWO

You and your partner will be able to explore ways of resolving any issues that are concerning you. It is an opportunity to nurture areas in your relationship that you feel need support or attention.  These sessions can be used to tackle difficult subjects, resolve conflicts or strengthen intimacy. Whatever your needs, couples counselling can give you the room to move forward in your relationship.

Online counselling

BRIDGING THE GAP

If you are unable to attend face to face sessions, online counselling may be a good option for you to access the support counselling offers. It is ideal for you if you work or live outside of Suffolk or have difficulties travelling. Online therapy follows the same principles as meeting face to face. It provides a safe and confidential space to talk about the issues concerning you.

Workshops and training

LEARNING TOGETHER

Workshops for groups engages positive discussions around the chosen workshop topic. These discussions give you a forum, in a relaxed and safe environment, to share your experiences and learn from others in the group.  We select fresh topics to stimulate new thinking, as well as offering repeat workshops for ongoing themes.
